When do milestones photography sessions take place?
This depends on the child and what milestones you would like documented. Many parents opt for an adorable sitter session when baby can sit well unassisted or choose to do 12 month photos for their first birthday.
What milestone photography sessions are recommended?
After newborn photos, the most popular milestone photography sessions are around 6-months or when baby can sit unassisted and 1-year milestone photography sessions which sometimes include cakes for a cake smash.
What is a sitter session?
A sitter session documents a baby generally around the 6+ month mark or when they can comfortably sit unassisted.
What is a cake smash?
A cake smash session can be grouped in with any birthday celebration but traditionally goes along with 12 month photos. Done during the first year, it’s usually the first time that your baby has tasted or played with cake! These are some fun photos to cherish.
Are milestone Sessions only for the first year of a child’s life?
Absolutely not! We love to celebrate and document any milestone here at Sarah Ellis Photography whether that be sitting up, going to preschool, starting kindergarten or graduating high school!
